The three-time African champions had their first training session, in which 23 players took part.

According to reports emanating from the camp, the players who participated in the training session include Simon Moses, Akor Adams, Taiwo Awoniyi, Isaac James, Emmanuel Fernandez, Benjamin Fredericks, Moses Uzor, George Ilenikhena, Arthur Okonkwo, Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Chibuike Nwaiwu, Tolu Arokodare, Bruno Onyemaechi, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze, and Stanley Nwabali.

Meanwhile, Maduka Okoye remains the only invited player yet to arrive in camp at the time of this report.

The Udinese goalkeeper's absence has sparked outrage among Super Eagles fans, who demanded improved commitment from the player.

Nonetheless, he is expected later today as the team intensifies its preparations ahead of the much-anticipated encounter.

Considering Maduka Okoye's late arrival and Nwabali's lack of regular game time at his club, Arthur Okonkwo seems the favourite to be in goal on Friday. However, time will tell.
