✅️ Frank Onyeka
I will go with Frank Onyeka as the DM going by how he held his own and did the dry- cleaning job thoroughly at the last WAFCON. The Tank sure understands the assignment and must be handed a starting shirt when fit.
✅️ Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
As much as Iwobi can operate from more than a position, I will leave him right there for Dele-Bashiru to thrive and make magic since he is one player who can make something out of nothing. FDB, despite few starts have given us crucial goals and assists when it matters and I will have him with with Iwobi who knows his way around through passes that can easily split defences for Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, Tolu Arokodare and others to finish.
✅️Raphael Onyedika
Knowing Frank "The Tank " might not be at the same level as when the game kicked off, I will bring in Onyedika for FDB after 60minutes of play. That way, we have a young, versatile, energetic and youthful player who can track back to assist Onyeka and carry the ball forward, acting as a Box-to-Box guy. Raphael Onyedika has shown us by his Champions League exploits with Club Brugge that he can hold his own defensively and bring flair to the attack, scoring goals too. That will ensure we properly defend lone goals and not concede last minute goals that us still haunting us in the World Cup Campaign.
✅️ Christantus Uche
Another young, versatile, zestful and sparky player that can come in for Iwobi to also assist the DM and aggressively carry the ball forward for prospective goals whilst ensuring he tracks back in a timely manner to help defenders and prevent goal concessions. This young man has a lot to offer the midfield and will quickly grow if guided properly.
✅️Alexander Iwobi
Alex has his starting shirt on that team as long as he is played closer to the Forwards for maximum impact. No coach should ever toy with the idea of asking him to defend as be has proven time and again he doesn't have that skill. I will take a productive Alex who can't track back over a non-productive one who can defend.
✅️ Wildred Ndidi
Realistically, If Ndidi must play, let him see out games going forward. The game is getting tougher and veterans can encourage the younger ones from the bench.
PS
This write up is for the ideal situation - all players are as fit as a Fiddle and available for selection.
