Nwabali Needs Stiff Competition Right Away

The Uproar Was Long Overdue, Nigerians Have Been Excessively Patient With Chippa United’s StanleyNwabali.

 

Nwabali's Criticism isn't because of an error but his propensity for kindergarten errors, unfortunately laced with arrogance, overbloated, egocentric and cocky attitude. He is a goalie who feels larger than life despite being average.

 

The equalizing goal he conceded against Zimbabwe was exactly the one Okoye was crucified for 4 years ago and hasn't been the same again but Nigerians did not bother with Nwabali who had a chance to save us despite the blunder from Troost-Ekong. Each time we overlooked his schoolboy errors, he became overconfident, unrepentant and never showed signs of remorse, rather, he was always looking for a scape goal to pin his errors on. 

 

Each time his haughtiness was brought up, some pity party would assemble to defend him and ask if you had anything against him. Mistakes he could have fixed by taking simple feedbacks and working on were left to fester because he chose to adopt the attitude of "I am irreplaceable". Ladies and Gentlemen, these "little foxes" he refused to tame have now become fully blown albatross that led to the National Uproar after the Lesotho game.

 

But for God, we would have left Polokwana with another draw and kissed the World Cup dreams goodbye since Friday. We wouldn't have had anything to play for come Tuesday.

 

I have always made it clear I will choose a First Choice Goalkeeper at Serie A over one who plays at a relegated threatened club in South Africa. I rate a decent and more technical Okoye better than brash and average Nwabali.

 

Come Tuesday, My vote of Confidence goes to Adebayo Adeleye.

 

We need this Udinese' first choice goalie to man the post going into the two friendly games we have in November. 

 

Enough of an arrogant and complacent Nwabali with the propensity for school boy errors. 

He needs to sit on the bench and be humbled, so he can LEARN. This man was practically the weapon fashioned against the team today.

 

I bet he also needs to have a conversation with Francis Uzoho be given a brief of how things can go South with Nigerian fans when you start feeling larger than life!

 

Nwabali can't be the first choice goalkeeper for Nigeria Super Eagles
