Demystifying The Wrong Perception Of Our Loss To Morocco At 2022 Wafcon

✳️I've overtime read misinformed and mischief makers throw carelessly the narrative around the Super Falcons' loss to Morocco at the Semi-Finals of WAFCON2022. Of course, I understand it is to throw spanners in the beautiful job Randy has done to build up a World Class team that eventually went to win the WAFCON2024 edition.

 

✳️For those who pay attention to the game with a logical mind without bias, you will appreciate that two key players (Rasheedat Ajibade and Halimatu Ayinde ) were red-carded and that left us with 9 players (8 outfielders) against an 11-woman Moroccoan team. 

 

✳️Now it takes a tactically superior coach to ensure that same game was not lost in regulation, and extra time. 120minutes played holding the opponent is masterclass.

The game went into spotkick which would have gone anyway as no team is guaranteed a win at that point. Unfortunately, our ladies lost the plot.

 

✳️So I don't understand how the entire game, players being red-carded and losing the spotkick eventually would be the fault of a coach Randy as some keep desperately try to make us believe years after.

 

✳️What they fearfully avoid talking about is how the same coach took us to a World Cup a year after, not losing to any of our World-Class opponents in regulation time, despite being labeled the underdogs. Not to forget the same Super Falcons who won WAFCON consistently before 2022 always fell short at the Global stage, earning them an attendee badge and one to make up the numbers.

 

✳️At the 2023 World Cup, despite not winning WAFCON22, the same ladies coached by Randy earned the RESPECT of the World, playing a draw with Olympic Champions, Canada, Beating FIFA's 6th rated Australia, Drawing 8th Rated Ireland to qualify for the RO16. They held almighty England to a draw in regulation time but for the spot kick. 

 

✳️The same Randy qualified us for 2024 Olympics, 16 years after falling short despite wining WAFCON several times within that period. They prefer to look away from this feat because they are pushing a paid agenda consciously or innocently.

 

✳️Randy was building a World-Class team that started with the midfield, giving us the Super 6 they are currently labouring to tamper with. The defence only needed stable back ups to join Nicole Payne who was already showing the stuff she was made of. The attack was what he started fine-tuning especially that Okoronkwo was steadily coming back after her 2nd ACL. 

 

✳️Unfortunately, the criminal enterprise called NFF did everything to frustrate him out of the job because they prefer a puppet they can control and choose players for. They ensured his plans to prepare the ladies for Olympics kept being frustrated 😠 under the guise of no Funds for camping neither friendly games to prepare our ladies, not knowing there was a $700,000 funds for development of women's football they collected but kept quiet about.

✅️Randy's hardwork and team of resilient ladies won us the 2024 WAFCON. If you don't believe now, time will open your eyes widely.....
