Super Falcons Do Have a Lot To Play For At The 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣7️⃣FIFA Women’s World Cup
I've had to watch the 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ World Cup Match Between Super Falcons of Nigeria and Lionesses of England, including the spot kick which decided the winner.
Nostalgic feelings no doubt and somehow I believe our ladies would have made it all the way to the finals if only they had the upper hand during the penalty kick.
As much as I know they would want to prove a point in Brazil in 2027, these are my fears:
1️⃣. The bar has been dropped with respect to the quality of Coaching Crew who can't decipher modern day football in this day and age. The match against Benin Republic is just a tip of the iceberg for those who have insight and understands the game.
2️⃣. Qualifications for World Cup 2027 will no longer be a walk in the park with 16 countries now heading to the next WAFCON and most of them preparing so hard whilst our ladies are left out in the cold by The Nigeria Football Federation 🥶
I will give anything to ensure we get things right and allow these ladies thrive at the Global stage, especially that it should be the last World Cup for the most senior ones on that team.
