⚪️ The difference between Stanley Nwabali and myself tonight was that I watched the game from my Television but he watched on the pitch😆. On a more serious note,  Bobo was on holiday as Algeria had Zero shots on target.7️⃣.0️⃣

DEFENCE 🪖
🟢Osayi-Samuel was Ola Aina Pro-Max All Night. He gave us a masterclass of the modern day Right Back and did NO WRONG all through. I had to pinch myself all through the game, asking where this version of Osayi-Samuel had been all my life.

How he has grown with each game must be studied. I'm awe-struck as he has left me SPEECHLESS!!!!9️⃣.3️⃣

⚪️Hully City and Super Eagles Gentle Giant Oluwasemiligo Ajayi has grown into the tournament with each game. Remarkable, natural, and well-drilled understanding with Calvin “The Beast” Bassey who complements his strength has built a synergy that instilled confidence especially that the pair hasn't conceded a single goal at the knockouts. Oluwasemilogo’s ability to sniff danger way ahead by reading the game intelligently, coupled with his well-timed neat tackles stands him out. Ability to initiate build-up play, overlap intelligently without compromising his primary duties speaks to a near flawless concentration and game mastery.8️⃣5️⃣
 
🟢Calvin "The Beast" Bassey has taken over the leadership of the back four, promising us they won't concede ahead of this game, and coordinating his boys from the blast of Whistle to the Final one to keep his promise. He made me scream a number of times at his strenght, bullish runs, calculated overlapping and man-marking abilities. Bassey was on point like decimal and remains the soul of our defence without an iota of doubt!

⚪️Bruno Onyemaechi has not only reignited the fire at the left back, he has recalibrated the standard for that position. Few questionable third balls in the first half but he corrected every single error in the second half, setting Osimhen up for that wonderful header to break the deadlock. He made Mahrez look too ordinary the coach had to save his face by substituting him.8️⃣5️⃣

MIDFIELD🥅

🟢Frank Onyeka was the livewire of the midfield, silently shading Brentford FC for daring tp underrate him at the Premier League. His box-to-box abilities today were remarkably spectacular and he was so tirelessly a menace to the Algerians, giving them zero breathing space to thrive at the middle of the park. How he has formed a deadly partnership with Iwobi and Ndidi, ensuring they can both thrive in their primary duties is mind blowing. Frank Comes to the Party every single time.8️⃣.8️⃣

⚪️Wilfred Ndidi
Captain Ndidi was rock solid shielding the Back Four effectively, ensuring the midfield prevented predators from preying on any of our players. He embodies the true captaincy on the pitch and it is a shame he will miss the next game.8️⃣0️⃣

🟢Alexander Iwobi
Emperor Alex was the Uncle of the Day, dishing out clean, crisp, clear through passes that will live rent free in the head of Algerians  for a long time to come. Alex Iwobi was the cord that bonded our midfield, ensuring the Desert Foxes looked a shadow of the same team that didn't concede more than a single goal before today. Alex holds the key to our winning streak as his deft touches, movement on the ball and sleek passes ensured his signature was on virtually every goal scored by Nigeria.8️⃣.7️⃣

FORWARDS ⚽️🔥

⚪️Victor Osimhen was simply unstoppable and would easily be the cheat code we needed to demystify the Dessert Foxes. His goal speaks to an intelligent striker who has carefully studied Zidane to know how to make him look ordinary. He also won the POTM deservedly.9️⃣.3️⃣

🟢Akor Adams combined Agility, Brilliance, and Calmness with VIsion, consistently dropping deep to add bodies to the midfield where the game was decided on the night. Akor is an unusual striker who can adapt based on the expectations of the coach and game. The way he made Zidane look like a school boy goalkeeper today remains one of the standout moments in this tournamentt for me.9️⃣.0️⃣

⚪️Ademola Lookman was a consistent thorn in the flesh of the Algerians all night, moving like the "Dangerous Dave " he naturally is. Adebobo exploited pockets of spaces to show his exceptional skills, predatory Instincts and ability to destabilize the most organized defence like that of Algeria.
He consciously fed everyone upfront to ensure they ate to satisfaction, whilst starving the Algerians of balls by dropping deep to hustle for balls as a Chief Distributor .8️⃣5️⃣
