Toni Payne: The Undisputed Brain Box Of Super Falcons

Toni is without an iota of doubt a World Class player and one of the most technically gifted players in the Super Falcons. A player who grew through all the age-grade National Team of the USA definitely came seasoned, refined and well-groomed to Nigeria's benefit.

Gifted with excellent first-touches (the best in Super Falcons), superb ball control, ability to dictate game pace, set-piece specialist, visionary, and a rare ability to give defence splitting passes that throws the most organized defences in disarray.

Her offence: She was played in an unfamiliar position which isn't her strenght in the National Team - she has her job cut out for her and thrived excellently well in her role as the "brain box" of Super Falcons at the 2023 Women’s World Cup and thereafter. 

Madugu played both Ajibade and Payne in unfamiliar positions and both struggled as expected. To everyone's surprise, Ajibade got reinstated to her familiar position and got better but Toni got relegated to the bench till the tournament ended without any explanation from anyone.
